Thinking of buying in Spain? With 19million Brits visiting the costas each summer, it stands to reason that many put down roots by purchasing a holiday home – or merely move abroad to work, play or retire.

Confidence is on the up so now is the time to buy! Property prices rose by 4.7 per cent in 2017, according to
A new report from the ST Sociedad de Tasación, one of the largest real estate valuation firms in Spain.

Price growth in the Balearics has been particularly high, at 5.6% in the year to April 2018. Leading Spanish home builder Taylor Wimpey España reports that demand is also strong, with Mallorca properties proving particularly popular.

Marc Pritchard, Sales and Marketing Director of Taylor Wimpey España, said: “We’ve seen some excellent growth in the Spanish property market over the past year, with metropolitan areas and the Balearic and Canary Islands faring particularly well. Not only are prices rising, but also consumer confidence and satisfaction, which is excellent news for the market as a whole.”
