Groovemeister at Canvas Bournemouth

They are a firm favourite with the Canvas crowd and we are delighted to announce that Groovemeister start their monthly residency at Canvas on Poole Hill tonight.

If you’ve not visited Canvas since it took over from Jalarra, opposite Koh Thai, now is the perfect time to experience the atmosphere. It’s class all the way – over 21s only, cool cocktails, live music and a new stage, sound and lighting rig.

Led by the ‘Soul Man’ Ian Francis, Groovemeister is made up by the region’s most experienced soul and funk artists who get the weekend started in style with classics such as Play That Funky Music and Disco Inferno. They recently supported The Fatback Band at a sell-out gig and really set the mood with some Motown floorfillers.

Canvas is Bournemouth’s only loft bar and oozes cool vibes. You can have a drink and a dance without getting jostled by a crowd of rowdy young’uns – there are plenty of tables (as long as you arrive early!) and it’s fun, friendly and fabulous.

Can’t make it tonight? You can catch Groovemeister again at Canvas on the following dates: March 25, April 18. Tickets are just £5 in advance or get pizza and tickets to the show for £18. Other than that, entry is free until 7pm and £5 after.

There is also free entry to the afterparty from 11pm. Happy hour with 2-4-1 cocktails takes place 5pm-7pm - more info here.
