Mother’s Day 2014: last-minute gifts to buy on Bournemouth high street

Mother’s Day is this Sunday so it’s time to hit the high street in Bournemouth or Poole to find a gift that mum will love. A lot of us leave it last minute – luckily, the above 12 suggestions are something you can grab and go, even on your way to Sunday lunch.

And don’t think you can get away with a homemade card and gift like you used to… one in 20 mums have admitted to hating the homemade gifts their kids make for Mother’s Day, according to a poll by money saving site PromotionalCodes.org.uk, who quizzed 540 mums on the Mother’s Day presents they love and hate.

Earlier this month, I gave my top four recommendations for a Bournemouth Mother’s Day Sunday to Do More Magazine – these may have sold out but there are a range of options here:

1. Book a ‘Lazy Sunday’ break at the Green House hotel

You can book an overnight break any Sunday at the Green House hotel for less than you may expect! The Lazy Sunday package is priced £65 per person based on two people sharing and includes dinner and hearty breakfast on Monday morning to set you up for the week. Call 01202 498900 to make your reservation.

2. Afternoon tea at the Miramar

Pay £26.50 for two – or upgrade and pay £40.50 for two to add champagne.

3. Lunch with live piano and a spa afternoon at The Chine Hotel

Lunch, music and a spa day – all this for just £19.95 per person.

4. Table Top Treasures sale at The Shack

Does Mum love to shop? Go bargain hunting at The Shack with their Baby & Childrens Table Top Sale. Or book a table today and turn unwanted items into cash.
