Perfect picnic ideas for the beach


Heading to the beach this weekend? Upgrade those soggy sandwiches and try Parma Ham and Grapes with Fried Dough. Perfect for a pick-at picnic.

This recipe serves 4-5 people.


– 500 g flour type “0”

– milk to taste

– 1/2 tsp baking powder

– 2 tbsp olive oil

– 1/2 glass of water

– pinch of salt

-clarified pork fat or seed oil for frying

To serve:

-white grapes

-slices of Parma Ham to taste


  1. To create the dough, add the baking powder and salt to the flour. Then, form a well in the flour and pour in the water, olive oil and milk. Mix carefully to obtain a firm dough. Wrap it in cling film and leave to rest for 30 minutes.
  1. Once rested, make dough strips that are not too thin using a sheeter, and then cut out small diamonds and rectangles from the strips.
  1. Heat the seed oil or clarified pork fat and drop the dough pieces into it. Flip the pieces so that they become evenly golden, then drain them on kitchen paper.
  1. Serve the fried dough with white grapes and Parma Ham. Picnic ready!
