Recommends: Electrikk Chair

Electrikk Chair is much more than just a club night. It’s a brand with a clear mission – to put the fun back into the weekend.

It’s a night where dirty beats get dirtier, offering a unique mix of electro, tech, breaks and fidget. One genre is not enough for the music visionaries behind our decks! It’s time to mix it up and create something special.

You can expect the unexpected at Electrikk Chair but there are some things you can count on. First of all, a happy vibe – leave your problems at the door and head for the dancefloor

Electrikk Chair was founded 18 months ago by Tom Dubyes. It’s no coincidence that he is also the founder of the Institute of Positive Attitude – positivity is the key to this night’s success. There’s no room for negativity or big egos. Electrikk Chair is resolutely non-commercial – proof that a good club night can grow and prosper without selling out. We promise to keep the ticket prices low and the atmosphere high!

Tom brings energy, enthusiasm and experience to the table. As well as dropping the best beats in Bournemouth, he is a former student of Subbas DJ Academy in London, and also played at Ministry of Sound after being head-hunted at a nationwide DJ competition.

New for 2012, electro fiend Fred From France joins Tom as a resident DJ for Electrikk Chair. This beat-dropping visionary from across the channel also has tonnes of experience and has played gigs the length and breadth Europe. His remix of Raving by LBA will soon be released on French label Atelier Electronique, the ideal opportunity to broaden his already massive fan base.

Both Tom and Fred are now working with Arcade Pony Records to blend their exciting beats into some more smoking hot tracks – watch this space for release dates!

While The Winchester is the home of Electrikk Chair, where it all began in April 2011, there has also been a successful Polish edition, heading to the home country of founder Tom.

The next chapter in this success story starts with Student Arrivals at Lava & Ignite on Sunday September 16. For this very special night, Electrikk Chair has teamed up with two of the biggest brands in Bournemouth – Slinky and Dub Optic – to throw a welcoming party no fresher will ever forget.

Electrikk Chair Vol 5 returns to The Winchester on November 11 – it’s going to be a real winter warmer! It’s the perfect time to introduce a new generation to new sounds, adding to the already considerable following of this authentic and exciting club night.

And those followers of Electrikk Chair are more than just fans. It’s more of a tribe, full of energy, and you can take that happy vibe with you when you leave the dancefloor. It’s ideal for electro fans but will introduce you to some new sounds, too. Trust the tribe.

Our nights are full of fun, friendly people and, while the line-up of DJs may change, the experience remain the same, so the Electrikk Chair label is all you need to look for when you are planning your next night out.
