Poole Big Wheel BIG launch

We’re all going to be having a high time at tonight’s Poole BIG Wheel launch at Baiter Harbourside Park in Poole. Yes, just like in London and Bristol, you can take to the seas for a bird’s-eye view of our award-winning seven miles of sandy beaches stretching across the Dorset coast; with stunning views out to sea thrown in as well.

What better way to kick off your Bank Holiday weekend?

Even better, it marks the countdown to the Seven Seas Festival, which takes place on May 19-21.

Baiter Park’s BIG Wheel is alongside the HarBar, a new fully licensed outdoor bar – so there is fun for all the family. Offering local ales, ciders, wines, cocktails and soft drinks, the HarBar will be THE place to see and be seen on the harbour for the next four weeks.

Rides on the BIG wheel are available seven days a week so even though there’s plenty of time to try it out, don’t you want to be the first?

Fact file

The 144-rider wheel will be positioned next to the Harbourside car park and on a clear day will offer views of up to ten miles away – bringing Corfe Castle well within sight and as far as the nature reserve at Studland, as well as Sandbanks and wonderful new views of Brownsea Island and Poole itself.
