Tonight: Make your own baubles

With the big day just days away, it’s time to give your festive celebrations the personal touch. You are never too old to embrace handmade decorations. And luckily, experts are on hand to help.

Tonight (Thursday December 20) Dolphin Shopping Centre in Poole is running a special late night shopping event – ‘Ceramic Bauble Design,’ where shoppers can create their own festive ceramic baubles using porcelain pens.

It’s a great way for families to get into the festive spirit; what’s more it’s a great way to make the most of the late-night shopping facilities and actually ENJOY Christmas shopping.

Shop & Make had its launch night on Thursday November 29 at the Dolphin Shopping Centre, with a gingerbread decorating theme. The creative station is located outside Beales, in the main stretch of the shopping centre.

The free event takes place from 5.30pm-9pm and encourages visitors to get creative during their late-night shopping.

John Grinnell, centre manager at the Dolphin Shopping Centre, said: “Our Shop & Make late night offering will enable you to add some personalised cheer to your Christmas. The Dolphin event team will be dressed in red hoodies and wearing reindeer antlers to welcome you and encourage everyone to get involved with our craft activities.”

The Dolphin Shopping Centre will extend its opening hours for late night Christmas shopping on Thursday. Free parking will be available on these evenings from 6-9pm at town centre car parks (multi-storey and surface).
