Recommended: NEW Salsa Explosion at Canvas

Salsa Explosion at Canvas is back and better than ever – mainly because its backed by a swanky new cocktail menu.

Just as Strictly sparkles back onto our screens, you too can learn how to shimmy like a pro. Classes and social dancing take place every Thursday and cost from £5 when you book two classes. And seriously, after just one dance (and one cocktail) you will be hooked.

Enrique Perez Valdes from Cuba still oversees the classes, which are full of authentic yet easy-to-master moves that will wow them at your Christmas parties, or are perfect for a wedding first-dance – or just as a way to meet new people and find your rhythm.

Enrique was part of a team voted the UK’s Most Popular Salsa Promoters at the Cuban Salsa Dance Awards 2006 and Salsa UK Lifetime Achievement Award Winners 2007.

He said: “I have 23 years’ experience of teaching and promoting and I can’t wait to teach at Canvas, which is a stunning venue.

“Salsa dancing is a unique form of exercise because it provides the heart-healthy benefits of an aerobic exercise while also allowing you to engage in a social activity.

“Being a social sport, it also has benefits for mental as well as physical health. It combats depression, isolation; it boosts memory as much as flexibility! Give it a try for a top-to-toe body and mind makeover.”

Need some pre-class fuel? We recommend the special offer at La Tasca – two courses for just £12.95 or three courses for £16.95 with the Taste of Spain menu.
