Recommended: Jazz Juice

Here we go again… Plans for August bank holiday are afoot and if you do ONE THING this payday, we recommend forking out for Jazz Juice tickets.

It’s a Bournemouth institution and it’s found a fab new venue in Canvas, Bournemouth’s only loft bar. Class class class.

Now we are probably showing our age when we reveal that Jazz Juice and Bump n Hustle were our favourite nights out while at university. And we went out A LOT. The fact that they are still going strong 25 years later is testament to the experienced team and awesome DJs.

Since arriving last year at Canvas, nights have continued to be a butt slapping success…
the last party sold out days before and the venue was filled to the rafters with a funky party crowd.

Expect everything from 70s jazz funk and disco classics – the perfect way to wrap up a day on the beach and you have all of Monday to recover. Thank goodness!

As the Echo says: It all started in the acid jazz days of 1992 by Rob Hastings, who had already been involved in the Highcliffe Castle party of 1990 and the Essential Summer Ball at the BIC featuring Diane Brown and Judge Jules. It quickly became a cult night with Bournemouth University students snapping up all the tickets a week before each sell out event.

See you on the dancefloor!
