Guest blog: how to drop belly fat for summer, part four

Could inflammation be holding you back in your battle of the bulge? Local trainer Jango Alptekin, who is currently torturing our lovely editor Suzi at bootcamp (“aw fanks!” Ed), says combining inflammation and body fat is like combining fire and petrol.

See for the full post.

“Hidden inflammation is the main root problem for a lot of disease such as heart disease, cancer, obesity, auto-immune disease, asthma and digestive disorders,” he said. “If your immune system cannot balance the inflammation and the anti-inflammatory forces in your body then things can go horribly wrong.”

That’s why alcohol forms no part of Jango’s 6 Week Body Transformation plan (“aw damn!” Ed) as you won’t burn fat because your liver has to detoxify the alcohol.

“It’s hard for your body to burn fat when your body is in a stressed state,” he said. “This is becoming the number one reason for weight loss plateaus and stubborn belly fat which people struggle to shift. The two together, inflammation and stress, make it VERY difficult for you to put on muscle to BURN fat and VERY easy to put on fat around the areas you hate most!”

So it’s time for veg, fruit, nuts, healthy fats, antioxidants that are anti-inflammatory, antibiotic and antiviral.

“Raw onions and garlic are both hypo-glycemic and have a hypotensive affect which mean they both lower your blood sugar and blood pressure. Both together are a useful addition to your weight loss toolbox,” he said.

An impressive share! I have just forwarded this onto a colleague who had been conducting
a little research on this. And he in fact bought me breakfast
simply because I found it for him… lol. So let me reword this.
… Thanks for the meal!! But yeah, thanks for spending the time
to talk about this issue here on your site.
