As another year draws to a close, how will you ring in 2013? Here are our top picks from the Bournemouth area, including links to buy early bird tickets to save you money on the night. Get organised and save £££s!

Koh Thai Tapas

Koh Thai Tapas has two special NYE menus this year. If you have plans later on, opt for an early evening menu from 5.30pm-7pm – start your evening with a relaxed and sumptuous two-course thai feast before you start your New Year’s Eve in earnest, £29.95pp.

For those of you looking for a venue to drink and dine the night away, their New Year’s Eve Celebration menu is a new and exclusive menu, specially created by our recently returned executive chef, Thor, and is available from 7pm-10pm and includes evening entertainment, £69.95pp.

The Winchester

The Winchester features their best and most loved local DJs so support Bournemouth talent and get yourself down there. The event is headlined by Kuba Drypher and you can expect the best tech and progressive house to see you into another year. Tickets are £10 but ONLY if you buy in advance online.

Revolution Vodka Bar

Bournemouth’s newest late-night venue is throwing a Cuban themed night including a live band and dancers, organised by Salsa Explosion. Entry is from £5 on the door or call 07552 429058 to book a booth.

Le Bateau, Poole

Dig out your Christmas onesie and head to Poole for NYE at Le Bateau. It is free to get in before 9pm or grab a £5 ticket for the late-night festivities from them now to secure your entry.

London Calling, Bar So

Danny Francis and friends will be playing New Year floorfillers to a stunning backdrop of the London skyline, with a live link-up to Trafalgar Square at midnight. Tickets are £7 from the Royal Exeter Hotel reception or more on the door.

Dub Optic, The Old Firestation

Live dubstep, reggae and jungle is the order of the day at Dub Optic, arguably the town’s biggest NYE party and almost sure to sell out. Make sure you buy tickets online if you haven’t already to avoid disappointment on the night.

The Queens Hotel, Bournemouth

An Elvis Tribute Show with two sets, plus New Year’s Eve Banquet Dinner and after hours disco, is the entertainment on offer for £69pp this December 31 at The Queens Hotel, Bournemouth. Call 01202 554415 to book.

Lava & Ignite, Bournemouth

One of our favourite urban/hip hop DJs, Reggie Styles, headlines this massive NYE event with Redz, both from SonyBMG London. Tickets will be £20 on the door so save yourself a fiver and buy online today. Other DJs include Bizzy (@DjBizzy) , Tempa (@DjTempa) and Baddis (@MrBaddis).
