Bastille the hottest ticket in town in 2016

There have been some great gigs in Bournemouth this year at the BIC, Canvas, Bar So and more – but it’s Bastille’s gig that was the hottest ticket in town, according to a new survey.

Ticketmaster found that Bastille’s Bournemouth gig was closely followed by Bring me the Horizon’s BIC performance, and Paul Simon to be crowned the city’s Ticket of the Year for 2016.

It’s been a great year for In terms of the UK in general, Coldplay were awarded global and UK Ticket of the Year 2016 for their A Head Full of Dreams tour.

They sold more than a million tickets globally.

Chris Martin from Coldplay said: “We’re honoured to receive the Ticketmaster Ticket of the Year award. Thank you to everyone who voted for us. The shows that we’ve played this year have been very special to us so it’s wonderful to know that they’ve been special to the fans as well.”
