Afternoon tea with an Osprey

Looking for something a little different for Bank Holiday weekend? Why not take the family to RSPB Arne on Saturday August 25 or Sunday August 26 to enjoy tea with an Osprey? Yes, really!

Here is a unique opportunity to join the RSPB and Birds of Poole Harbour for a weekend of tea, cake and ospreys at RSPB Arne from 11am to 3pm each weekend day over the Bank Holiday.

Ed Chivers, RSPB Dorset Visitor Experience Manager, said: “Join us for an osprey extravaganza at RSPB Arne this August. For one weekend only on Sat 25-Sun 26 August, we are opening-up an exclusive site on the reserve to provide awesome views of these spectacular raptors. Visitors can also enjoy talks by an expert from local charity Birds of Poole Harbour, telling us all about ospreys and giving an insight into an exciting reintroduction project happening right here in Poole Harbour.

“As if that wasn’t enough, we will also be setting up a pop-up shop and café at this very special location, giving you a chance to enjoy a cup of tea and a slice of cake whilst ospreys soar overhead. You can even try out the latest optics that our experts will be on hand to guide you through. Just pop along anytime between 11.00 am-3.00 pm.”
