Best nightclubs and late bars in Bournemouth for stags and hens

We’ve teamed up with Bournemouth stag and hen holiday experts Ball And Chain to put together a definitive guide for groups visiting Bournemouth. Sam at Ball And Chain is the lady in the know and you can call her today for a free consultation. If you book your holiday via Ball And Chain (all inclusive from £145pp), your time in Bournemouth will be hosted, with a dedicated Ibiza-style guide to take you to all the best bars, arrange days out, book meals – even order your taxi. Email for details.

Here is our top 5 Bournemouth nightclubs and late bars. All of the below are thoroughly tried and tested!

Bar So
Exeter Road, Bournemouth, BH2 5AG

Bar So is popular with groups but make sure you are well behaved (no fancy dress!) to secure entry on the weekend. If your party falls on a Saturday, you are in for a treat, as James Herkes and special guests oversee the turntables and focus on club classics that will get you dancing.

O2 Academy Bournemouth
570 Christchurch Road, Bournemouth

It’s not a nightclub as such, but there are plenty of club nights and special events at the O2 Academy that you can organise your stag or hen around. See the website for full listings.

Cameo & MYU Bar
Firvale Road, Bournemouth, BH1 2JA

This venue is currently gearing up for a £1million relaunch on March 22 and we expect it to prove central to stag and hen celebrations in Bournemouth this summer. Ball & Chain and Bournemouth News & Info will be all over the opening weekend so stay tuned to both websites for pictures of the new interior. UPDATE MAY 2014 – Fancy dress not permitted but brilliant packages available for stags and hens. See

Le Chic
224 Old Christchurch Road, Bournemouth,  BH1 1PE

We love Le Chic before, after or during a night out elsewhere. It’s perfectly placed on Old Christchurch Road for groups. The interior is amazing and there are bookable booths and hostesses who will make your party feel welcome. Email to book you The Gold Room, encased with real gold leaf tiles, soft lighting, sumptuous seating, private bar, security and your own personal waitresses.

Halo Bournemouth
