Hilton Bournemouth launches afternoon tea in time for Mother’s Day

The ultimate treat for Mother’s Day – be that this Sunday, next Sunday, this summer. Yes, the quintessentially English afternoon tea is now on offer in Bournemouth at Hilton Bournemouth’s Level8ight SkyBar. It’s not cheap – but as well as the delicacies pictured above, you also get to enjoy gorgeous views and superior service.

Stunning views at the SkyBar

Starting at £22.95 per person, the elegant and original afternoon tea ‘tray’ (pictured) features tiny broiche filled with delicate savory treats; a lighter-than-air scone with cream and jam; and a selection of original and awe-inspiring sweets, including an indulgent red velvet cupcake with a raspberry tuille that ‘tuille’ send your Instagram followers into a frenzy.

It’s an indulgent yet accessible mix that will suit all palates. Personally, I prefer savoury treats to sweet but the delicate cakes and pastries won me over.

Bag a table by the window for a sea-view or, with a party of four or more, the elegant booths with throne-style chairs have that WOW factor.

I’ve not had such a good afternoon tea since an afternoon at the Waldolf – and THAT doesn’t have a sea view.

Still hungry? Order elegantly simple small plates (tapas, to you and I) and turn the day into night at this elegant venue. You don’t have to be a guest to experience the elegance of Hilton Bournemouth; and, with Mother’s Day this weekend, booking is essential to ensure to make the most of your experience. Spare me a seat, ok?

Selection of mini brioche filled with: smoked salmon and crème fraiche, glazed ham and mustard mayonnaise, cucumber and basil;
