Learn to cook professionally in 2020

Are you a whizz in the kitchen? Term dates for 2020 have been released by Cookery School in London. Choose from a Professional Cookery Level 3 certification from OCN London, a Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 2 qualification in wine or a Level 2 Sustainable Kitchen accreditation.

Ideal for New Year’s Resolutions, you will get a chance to make top-class pasta, pancakes, poultry, puddings, puff pastry, pickles, preserves and fabulous fine dining recipes to impress your friends and family, as well as carving out a new career path alongside the Sunday roast.

Rosalind Rathouse founder of Cookery School at Little Portland Street is a professional cook and tutor who’s been teaching cookery to people of all ages and abilities for over 50 years. Rosalind has always been committed to sustainability and this is evident throughout Cookery School, from the ingredients used – which are organic and locally-sourced where possible – to the renewable energy that powers the kitchen and the eco-friendly habits of all staff. She said: “As one of London’s leading chef schools, we have been educating hospitality professionals for over eight years and have seen them go onto some of London’s best restaurants and hospitality businesses.

The six week course takes place three times a year;

-spring starting in 2nd March 2020

-summer starting 1st June 2020

-autumn starting 7th September 2020.

The course runs daily from 8.45am – 4.30pm with extended classes on certain days. Each day, students will take turns to make breakfast for the whole class.

The last week is dedicated to career advice so you may step straight back INTO the kitchen, at least in an internship.
