Don’t forget SPF this Spring!

So the sun always seems to take us by surprise… But it’s official, Spring has sprung, the sun’s out and it’s important to take care of your skin on a day-to-day basis. Even in the UK, SPF15 is the MINIMUM you should be wearing to protect yourself. Not just from pesky wrinkles but also from cancer… NICE guidelines state that “SPF15 is sufficient if applied adequately” – and daily.

Of course, when you are rushing around it’s all-too-easy to forget to top up your tanner. I’ve been using No7 Early Defence Skincare Day, Night and Eye Cream with SPF15, which works as a ‘stepping stone’ to help in the transition from everyday skincare to proactively delaying the signs of ageing.

I may be 35 but thanks to my mother’s genes and know-how, my skin is still pretty young. So my plan this summer is to stay out of the sun as much as possible and keep hydrated. After the success of Protect & Perfect, it makes sense to put my faith in the No7 boffins.

image002Dr Mike Bell, Skincare Scientific Advisor for Boots UK, says: “Protecting your skin from the sun and environmental stress is really important, particularly if you want to proactively delay the signs of ageing. With Double Defence technology we have created a powerful and broad-spectrum antioxidant complex which has been designed to neutralise damaging free radicals that cause the skin oxidative stress, helping you to keep your skin looking younger for longer.”

No7 Early Defence Day Cream (£19.50 for 50ml), No7 Early Defence Night Cream (£19.50 for 50ml) and No7 Early Defence Eye Cream (£13.50 for 15ml) are exclusively available at Boots stores across the UK and on boots.com from Wednesday 15 April 2015.
