The Lulworth Estate in South Dorset has analysed bookings made for its 12 highly sought after, luxury self-catering holiday cottages across a 20 month period – from 24th February 2018 to 24th October 2019. The data has revealed the booking behaviour of those interested in luxury self-catering accommodation, providing insight into how readers can make sure they don’t miss out on their favourite self-catering properties.
In terms of the Lulworth Estate’s most in demand self-catering properties across a 20 month period (24th Feb 2018 – 24th Oct 2019) its Shelter Shed, a one bedroom beautifully styled cottage with access to an outdoor pool was the most in demand property (booked by 13 per cent of guests). It’s a stunning property in a lovely location.
This was closely followed by Spring Cottage (booked by 11 percent,) a quirky self-catering 18th century cottage full of character and charm – with a crystal clear spring, huge inglenook fireplace and thatched roof.
The Lulworth Estate is an area of outstanding natural beauty (it famously inspired Thomas Hardy’s novels) and unique geological history in Dorset, which offers an incredible breadth of things to see and do. Its UNESCO World Heritage Jurassic coastline attracts thousands every year who come to marvel at the story of the earth etched into its landscape and visit the world renowned Durdle Door, Lulworth Cove, Lulworth Crumple, Fossil Forest landforms and its stunning turquoise sea beaches.
